Health Insurance & Indemnity Plans

Open season for an individual Health insurance policy starts November 1, 2018 through December 15 2018. Any policy you get during this period will have an effective date of January 1,2019. There is a special enrollment period,SEP, but you must qualify to get a policy.

Look at the federal poverty guidelines. These are used for the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. The individual mandate is gone. What this means is that there will not be a penalty for not getting a qualified health plan.
